DODOMA, May 30 -- PRESIDENT Samia Suluhu Hassan, who also serves as Chairperson of the ruling Chama Cha Mapinduzi (CCM), has called on party vetting committees to uphold fairness and integrity as they screen candidates for the upcoming general elections.

Speaking in Dodoma on Thursday during the launch of CCMs 2025–2030 election manifesto, President Samia emphasized the importance of selecting candidates who will effectively implement the partys development agenda.

“The vetting committees must act justly. Those who are qualified should be endorsed, and those who are not must be told so clearly and honestly. There should be no favoritism or hesitation,” she said.
