Dar es Salaam, Feb. 14 -- ZANZIBAR: PRESIDENT Samia Suluhu Hassan begins a three-day working visit to Addis Ababa, Ethiopia, today, where she will also participate in the 38th Ordinary Session of the African Union (AU) Assembly of Heads of State and Government.

According to a statement released on Friday by the Director of Presidential Communications, Ms  Sharifa Nyanga, the summit will focus on key continental issues, including the election of a new AU Chairperson for 2025, who will succeed the current leader from Mauritania.

“The summit will also elect new leaders of the African Union Commission, including the Chairperson, Deputy Chairperson, and six Commissioners,” the statement read.
