Dar es Salaam, Feb. 24 -- TANGA: PRESIDENT Samia Suluhu Hassan has announced that the government will open a tender on March 6 to find a contractor for the construction of a 22-kilometer paved road connecting Soni to Bumbuli-Korogwe in Tanga Region.
The project will also include an additional 9.3 kilometers from Meta to Kwashemsi in the Tanga region, which is expected to enhance the regions economic development.
The President made these remarks while addressing residents of Lushoto District on the second day of her five-day visit to Tanga.
She also highlighted that the government is continuing with the construction of the Bagamoyo-Tanga road. Tomorrow, she plans to lay the foundation stone for the Pangani Bridge and its associated road...
