DAR ES SALAAM, Aug. 2 -- PRESIDENT Samia Suluhu Hassan has called on Tanzanians to come out in large numbers to support the national football team, Taifa Stars and to extend the countrys well-known hospitality to visiting teams and fans as the 2025 African Nations Championship (CHAN) kicks off today.

President Samia made the remarks during the inauguration of the newly launched East Africa Commercial and Logistics Centre (EACLC) at Ubungo, Dar es Salaam, yesterday.

The Head of State highlighted that Tanzania has been honoured with the responsibility of hosting the opening match of the CHAN tournament.

She stated this recognition reflects the countrys global reputation for peace, stability, dignity and hospitality.
