DODOMA, June 12 -- THE government is set to continue implementing 27 priority projects in energy sector under the 2025/26 National Development Plan, which are at various stages of progress.
These initiatives aim to increase electricity production by 4,915 MW, connect 26 regions to the national grid, expand the grid to 9,351 km, reduce electricity losses to 7.9percent, and raise electricity access to 85percent of the population.
Minister of State in the Presidents Office for Planning and Investment, Prof. Kitila Mkumbo, shared these details in Dodoma today, while presenting the state of the economy and outlining the key objectives of the 2025/26 National Development Plan.
