Dar es Salaam, March 9 -- DAR ES SALAAM: PRIME Minister Kassim Majaliwa said yesterday that young people equipped with both education and religious knowledge are a vital cornerstone for societal welfare and development.
According to the PM, strong religious faith fosters communities rooted in good morals, work ethics and genuine love for one another.
Speaking during the 16th East and Central Africa Quran Memorisation competition in Dar es Salaam, Mr Majaliwa said the government has high expectations for young people participating in the competitions, as they use the knowledge and skills, they acquire to carry out important social and spiritual responsibilities.
