DODOMA, June 27 -- TANZANIAN President Samia Suluhu Hassan has directed the Tanzania Police Force to step up its efforts in combating crime, particularly the increasing incidents of missing persons, a situation that has raised concern among the public.

President Samia issued the directive today while addressing Parliament in Dodoma during the official closing session of the 12th Parliament, where she also highlighted the governments achievements during the current leadership phase ahead of the upcoming general elections.

In her address, the Head of State commended the Police Force for its improved performance in crime prevention, noting a significant increase in the pace of identifying, arresting, and prosecuting offenders.
