DAR ES SALAAM, Jan. 29 -- PRESIDENT  Samia Suluhu Hassan has appointed Dr. Rahma Salim Mahfoudh as Deputy Governor for Administration and Internal Control at the Bank of Tanzania (BoT), following the completion of the term of the previous officeholder, Julian Raphael.

The announcement of the appointment was made today, January 29, 2025, by Bakari Machumu, Director of Presidential Communications at State House, Dar es Salaam.

Additionally, President Samia has appointed Dr Ladislaus Changa as Director General of the Tanzania Meteorological Authority (TMA). Before this appointment, Changa was serving in an acting capacity in the position.
