Dar es Salaam, Feb. 11 -- MOROGORO: IN a bold move to protect road users and combat reckless driving, the Police in Morogoro have arrested three drivers for driving under the influence of alcohol during a heightened road safety operation.

 The crackdown aims to make the regions roads safer and curb the rising number of accidents caused by impaired drivers.

According to a statement issued today by the regions Acting Police Commander, Mwita Ally (33), Lucas Lwahela (28), and Ahmed Kipozi (39) were apprehended in different locations.

Mwita Ally,was caught driving a Suzuki Escudo (T.458 BDB) in Morogoro Municipality early today.

 A breathalyzer test revealed an alcohol level of 510.01 mg/100ml, which is far above the legal limit...
