Dar es Salaam, Feb. 28 -- SONGEA: POLICE in the Ruvuma region are holding Kigonsela village resident Fidelis Nyoni, 33, who is alleged to have severely beaten his 11-year-old son, Greyson Nyoni, inflicting severe injury that led to his death.
The resident of Kigonsela village in Mbinga District Nyoni allegedly attacked his son after he refused to go to school, according to a police report.
A statement issued by the Ruvuma Regional Police Commander Marco Chilya said that after Greyson refused to attend school, his father Fidelis attacked him with punches and kicks, ultimately breaking the boys left arm, which led to his death.
