DODOMA, Sept. 2 -- THE Prime Minister of the United Republic of Tanzania, Kassim Majaliwa, has urged government vehicle drivers to refrain from the unauthorized use of sirens and flashing lights without proper permission or specific instructions.

 He emphasized that this measure aims to reduce unnecessary conflicts on the roads.

Speaking at the Fourth Government Drivers Conference held at the Jakaya Kikwete Hall in Dodoma, Majaliwa said some drivers have been using sirens and flashing lights contrary to regulations, which contributes to chaos and inconvenience for other road users.
