DAR ES SALAAM, Dec. 24 -- THE Prime Minister, Mwigulu Nchemba, has ordered the immediate dismissal of employees of the Tanzania Electrical, Mechanical and Services Agency (TEMESA) who were involved in the embezzlement of 2.5bn/-.

The Prime Minister issued the directive earlier today, December 24, 2025, during an inspection visit at the Kivukoni–Kigamboni ferry service in Dar es Salaam noting that the government will not tolerate abuse of authority or misuse of public funds.

According to the Premier, embezzlements have contributed to the decline in ferry services and the escalation of unnecessary costs for the government.
