MOSHI, Feb. 21 -- PRIME Minister Mwigulu Nchemba has emphasized preparations for the implementation of a new education curriculum, set to be fully rolled out starting in 2028. The new curriculum will make education compulsory from Standard One to Form Four.
Under the new system, primary schools will have six grades while secondary schools will have four, totaling ten grades.
Dr Nchemba made the remarks today while speaking to residents of Mabogini in Moshi Rural District, Kilimanjaro Region, urging villages to allocate sufficient land for the construction of new classrooms and to expand existing facilities where necessary. He added that this approach would help avoid future costs of demolishing and rebuilding classrooms.
