Dar es Salaam, March 20 -- DAR ES SALAAM: PRIME Minister Kassim Majaliwa has directed regulatory institutions to ensure that all locally produced goods, including healthcare products, meet the required quality standards to compete in international markets.

He issued this directive on March 20 after laying the foundation stone for the construction of an oxygen production plant for hospital use.

He emphasized that the market should only have safe, high-quality, and internationally accepted products.

The plant is being constructed at the TOL Gases offices in Temeke, Dar es Salaam. Once completed, the project is expected to produce 4.1 million liters of medical oxygen annually, starting in 2026.
