MBEYA, June 30 -- THE battle for survival in the Mainland Premier League reaches a decisive climax today as Fountain Gate and Tanzania Prisons lock horns at Sokoine Stadium in Mbeya, in the second leg of the relegation promotion playoff.
This fixture will determine which side retains their spot in the top flight and which will have to face Stand United – the winners of the Championship League playoffs – for one last chance at promotion or survival.
The first leg, played last Thursday at the Tanzanite Kwara Stadium in Babati, Manyara, ended in a 1-1 draw.
Fountain Gate took the lead through William Edgar, before Tanzania Prisons equalised via Oscar Mwajanga, leaving everything to play for in todays return leg.
