DAR ES SALAAM, Dec. 15 -- WHEN the United Nations Secretary-General, António Guterres, yesterday described Tanzania as “a reference point for peace in Africa and the world,” it was a powerful affirmation of our most valuable national asset: Unity and social cohesion.

His remarks, made upon receiving President Samia Suluhu Hassans message from the delegation led by the Minister for Foreign Affairs and East Africa Cooperation, Ambassador Mahmoud Kombo, underscore that Tanzanias peace is not an accident.
