Dar es Salaam, March 14 -- ARUSHA: THE Parliamentary Committee on Education, Culture and Sports has commended progress in the construction of the Samia Suluhu Hassan Stadium in Arusha, highlighting it is ahead of projected time.

The project has reached 33 per cent completion, surpassing the expected 31 per cent milestone at this stage.

The statement was made on Thursday by the Committee Chairperson, Husna Sekiboko, during a site visit to assess the ongoing development of the stadium, which is slated to host matches during the 2027 AFCON finals.

The Committee has urged the Ministry of Information, Culture, Arts and Sports to maintain the current pace to ensure the stadium is completed on time and meets the desired standards.
