DODOMA, June 6 -- A TOTAL of 149,818 students, equivalent to 69.96 per cent, have been selected to join Form Five studies in government secondary schools, while 64,323 others will join various technical and teacher training colleges.

Speaking to reporters on Friday in Dodoma, the Minister of State in the Presidents Office – Regional Administration and Local Government (PO-RALG), Mr Mohamed Mchengerwa, said a total of 214,141 students including 97,517 girls and 116,624 boys qualified for selection into Form Five and Government Technical Education Colleges, including 1,028 students with special needs.

“Out of the selected Form Five students, 76,491 are girls and 73,327 are boys,” Mr Mchengerwa said
