Dar es Salaam, July 31 -- Serengeti Breweries Limited (SBL) has today unveiled an ambitious new agribusiness initiative, Shamba ni Mali, aimed at addressing critical challenges faced by Tanzanian farmers, including the use of counterfeit farm inputs, outdated farming technologies, unpredictable weather patterns, and limited access to modern agricultural knowledge.
The program underscores SBLs renewed commitment to supporting local agriculture by empowering over 4,000 smallholder farmers across the country, particularly those cultivating sorghum, barley, and maize—key raw materials in the companys beer production.
