Dar es Salaam, Feb. 4 -- DODOMA, Tanzania — The National Environment Management Council (NEMC) has intensified its efforts to enforce environmental laws and regulations, aiming to curb pollution and ensure sustainable development across the country.
Speaking on the initiative, NEMCs Acting Central Zonal Manager, Novatus Mushi, revealed that the council had so far registered 105 development projects and issued 30 environmental certificates between July and December 2024.
“Our goal is to create a culture of responsibility where industries and individuals recognize the impact of their activities on the environment. We are committed to enforcing regulations to safeguard our natural resources,” he stated.
