DAR ES SALAAM, Jan. 11 -- The National Examinations Council of Tanzania (NECTA) has announced the results of the National Assessment for Standard Four pupils, showing that the pass rate for Standard Four has increased by 2.67 percent, while the pass rate for Form Two rose by 1.52 percent.
NECTA also noted that in 2026, Form Two students will be assessed using an improved curriculum.
While announcing the results, NECTA Executive Secretary Prof. Said Mohamed said that a total of 1,583,686 pupils were registered to sit for the Standard Four National Assessment, including 818,673 girls (51.69 percent) and 765,013 boys (48.31 percent).
