Dar es Salaam, Feb. 24 -- ZANZIBAR: ZANZIBAR President Dr Hussein Mwinyi swore in the newly appointed Minister of State in the Presidents Office for Labour, Economy, and Investments, Mr Sharif Ali Sharif in the Isles yesterday.

Mr Sharif took over the position following a recent mini-reshuffle that resulted in the exclusion of two Ministers: Mr Jamal Kassim Ali (State House) and Suleiman Makame (Blue Economy and Fisheries), and the resignation of Mr Simai Mohamed Said, who was the Minister for Tourism and Heritage.

After being sworn in, Mr Sharif pledged to meet the expectations of the Zanzibaris and the President, stating: “I will do my best to serve the people and ensure all my duties are carried out effectively.”
