ZANZIBAR, Sept. 8 -- ZANZIBAR President Hussein Ali Mwinyi, has described the Tanzania Military Games as a symbol of national unity and cooperation among the countrys defence and security forces.

Speaking at the official opening of the games organised by the Tanzania Peoples Defence Forces Sport Council (BAMMATA) at Mao Zedong Grounds in Urban West Region, Mwinyi said the event also provides an important opportunity to strengthen government efforts in improving sports infrastructure and building closer ties between security organs and the public.
