ABIDJAN, IVORY COAST, May 26 -- VICE-PRESIDENT Dr Philip Mpango has called on women to remain steadfast in promoting peace, emphasising the importance of raising children in a peaceful and prosperous environment.

Dr Mpango made the call yesterday after attending Holy Mass for the Sixth Sunday of Easter at St Peter Catholic Church Blockhauss in Abidjan, Ivory Coast, where the service was led by Father Felicien Aguie.

It is always important to remember that Jesus Christ left us peace, not war,” said Dr Mpango, urging the faithful to embrace and uphold the values of peace within their families and communities.
