Srilanka, Feb. 26 -- The motion to adjourn Parliament was moved using a note that was written in Braille marking a first in the history of the Sri Lankan Parliament.

National People's Power (NPP) MP Sugath Wasantha de Silva on Monday made history by moving the motion to adjourn the Parliament session using a note which he had prepared using Braille.

While moving the motion to adjourn Parliament held on the Second Reading of the Budget debate on the Appropriation Bill, visually impaired MP Sugath Wasantha said that he was proud to have been able to read the motion that was written by him in Braille.
