DAR ES SALAAM, July 31 -- THE Permanent Secretary in the Ministry of Health, Dr Seif Shekalaghe, has called on the Muhimbili Orthopedic and Brain Institute (MOI) to build the capacity of doctors at regional and zonal hospitals to minimize overdependence on MOI for the treatment.

Dr Shekalaghe said this when he visited the Institute on a working visit with the aim to review he state of service delivery.

“I have been told that you receive 500 patients per day, of which only 150 are qualified to be treated at MOI, and 350 could be treated at regional and zonal hospitals. Now, I ask you to build capacity in Dar es Salaam hospitals first.
