KENYA, Aug. 6 -- PRESIDENT William Ruto has kept his promise to reward the Harambee Stars handsomely following their historic 1–0 victory over DR Congo in the opening match of the TotalEnergies CHAN 2024, releasing a whopping Ksh42 million just 24 hours after the teams memorable debut win.

The funds, channeled through the Ministry of Sports, covered performance bonuses for 27 players and 15 technical staff members—each pocketing Ksh1 million in line with the Presidents performance-based incentive package announced over the weekend.
