Dar es Salaam, April 2 -- DODOMA: MEN have been urged to take an active role in caring for and nurturing their children, as parenting responsibilities do not diminish the significance and value of a father.

The timely advice was made by Kongwa District Commissioner, Mayeka Simon, on the sidelines of the just concluded event to commemorate the Health and Nutrition Day held in Sagara Ward at Msingisa Village in the district.

Mr Simon said that family protection begins with food, yet many men have been avoiding childcare, believing that it is solely the mothers responsibility.
