Dar es Salaam, Feb. 24 -- DODOMA: DODOMA Urban MP Anthony Mavunde, has handed over a grape farm project to the Market Women Entrepreneurs Association (UWAWAMA) as part of his commitment to empowering women traders.

This initiative fulfills a pledge he made during a major businesswomens forum led by the Chairperson of the Womens Wing of the ruling party (UWT), Ms Mary Chatanda.

The handover ceremony took place on Thursday at Mpunguzi in Dodoma, where the association also received a financial boost of 10m/- to strengthen its fund.

Speaking at the event, Mavunde, who also serves as the Minister for Minerals, commended President Samia Suluhu Hassan for her efforts in improving market infrastructure in Dodoma, which has stimulated business ...
