Dar es Salaam, April 15 -- KILIMANJARO: THE Moshi Municipal Council (MMC) is set to embark on an extensive 1bn/- project aimed at facelifting the renowned Majengo Stadium.

This investment is part of the councils initiative to fully capitalise on the countrys role as a co-host of the 2027 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) finals. MMC Municipal Director Mwajuma Nasombe recently shared insights into the project, underscoring that the new funds add to the already allocated 600m/- spent on the stadiums initial construction.

“The existence of this stadium has been pivotal in fostering sports, particularly football, within Moshi Municipality and the greater Kilimanjaro region,” Nasombe noted.
