DAR ES SALAAM, Nov. 26 -- RECENTLY, Tanzania–Zambia Railway Authority (TAZARA) announced a major regional mining and energy forum that a global engineering giant will invest over 1.4 billion US dollars (about 3.4tr/-) into its full revitalisation. The investment, structured as a 30-year concession, promises to overhaul the railway track, modernise operations, and supply brand-new rolling stock, including 32 locomotives and more than 700 wagons. For Tanzania, this is more than a transport upgrade. It is a historic opening for innovation, entrepreneurship and youth-driven transformation.
