KILIMANJARO, Dec. 29 -- KILIMANJARO Regional Commissioner Nurdin Babu has called on citizens to protect and maintain road infrastructure, including road signs, to ensure their longevity, especially at a time when substantial public funds are being invested in road construction and rehabilitation.

The Regional Commissioner made the plea while opening the Regional Road Board meeting held in Moshi over the weekend. Mr Babu expressed concern over the destruction and vandalism of road infrastructure, particularly road signs, describing the trend as both costly and dangerous.
