Dar es Salaam, Jan. 31 -- DAR ES SALAAM: PRIME Minister Kassim Majaliwa has said that several items recovered from the collapsed building in Kariakoo have been successfully returned to the identified owners, including large sums of money.

He said among the recovered items were more than 112.8m/-, 48,490 US dollars, 6,920 Kenyan shillings, and 631 Yuan.

Some of the money was found in sand, inside safe boxes and other were labelled with names

“These items and funds have been returned to the rightful owners,” he said.

Mr Majaliwa made the statement yesterday during a luncheon at the State House in Dar es Salaam, hosted by President Samia Suluhu Hassan to honour those who were involved in the search and rescue efforts followin...
