DAR ES SALAAM, July 22 -- MINISTER for Industry and Trade, Dr Selemani Jafo, has called on the Fair Competition Tribunal (FTC) to swiftly resolve 32 pending cases to remove business barriers and foster fair market competition.

Speaking during the inauguration of the Councils FTC, Dr Jafo revealed that the tribunal had been inactive since June last year due to the absence of members, leaving many cases unresolved.

“I urge you to address these cases. I believe you will carry out your duties with professionalism and fairness. Go and uphold justice,” Dr Jafo said.

He also called for immediate orientation training for the new members so they can begin work without delay.
