KILIMANJARO, Aug. 30 -- A TOTAL of 38 parliamentary candidates from five out of the nine constituencies in Kilimanjaro Region have been officially approved by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) to contest in the upcoming General Election scheduled for October 29.

As of Thursday, the constituencies with approved candidates included Moshi Urban, Moshi Rural, Vunjo, Siha and Mwanga.

Speaking on the development, Moshi Urban Constituency Returning Officer, Sifael Kulanga, confirmed that 11 candidates from various political parties had been cleared to vie for the parliamentary seats.
