SHINYANGA, July 21 -- THE Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has called on election officials for this years General Elections to ensure they provide timely information to political parties regarding the procedures for the swearing-in of their agents.

The aim is to ensure that election preparations proceed in accordance with existing laws and guidelines.

This directive was issued today, July 21, 2025, by INEC Chairperson, Justice Jacobs Mwambegele, while opening a three-day training session for election officials held in Shinyanga Region. The training is part of the preparations for the upcoming general election, expected to be held in October, on a date that will be officially announced by the Commission.
