Srilanka, March 8 -- IndiGo has announced the launch of daily direct flights between Tiruchirappalli (Trichy) in Tamil Nadu and Jaffna in Sri Lanka.

It is scheduled to commence from 30 March 2025.

The new flights are being introduced to cater to the growing travel demand between the two regions by providing more options for business, leisure and religious travellers.

Commenting on the new service, IndiGo's Global Head of Sales, Vinay Malhotra said, "We are delighted to expand our presence in Sri Lanka with the launch of our exclusive Tiruchirappalli-Jaffna route. Building on the success of our Chennai-Jaffna service, this new connection will strengthen our network in the region."
