Dar es Salaam, March 19 -- DAR ES SALAAM: THE government has called upon stakeholders in education and vocational training to offer programs that align with the real demands of the job market.
Vocational training has been named the key producer of those serving in the informal sector, as the findings of the International Labour Organization (ILO) show that nearly 70 percent of Tanzanians are employed in the informal sector.
Prime Minister Kassim Majaliwa remarked during the occasion to celebrate the 30th anniversary of the Vocational Education and Training Authority (VETA) in Dar es Salaam.
