DAR ES SALAAM, Jan. 3 -- THE Institute of Adult Education (IAE) has updated eight general subjects modules, prepared syllabi and vocational subjects modules for stage one (Form One to Form Two) for alternative secondary education.

Conducted through the Secondary Education Quality Improvement Project – Alternative Education Pathway (SEQUIP–AEP) the initiative aims to enhance curricula for education outside the formal system so that they align with the 2014 Education and Training Policy, 2023 Edition, which emphasises vocational training.

IAE Director General, Prof Philipo Sanga said the initiative is crucial for community development as it targets many Tanzanians who are outside the formal education system.
