SHINYANGA, Feb. 2 -- The Second Phase B (HEP 2B) project to extend electricity to 9,009 hamlets, targets to benefit 290,300 customers across 25 regions of Tanzania Mainland.
The project is anticipated to stimulate economic activities, business, and industry, thereby increasing the national income.
This was stated today by the Regional Commissioner of Shinyanga, Ms Mboni Mhita, during the introduction of the project contractor, Derm Group Ltd, which will implement the project for 60.9bn/- in 581 hamlets within the Shinyanga region.
