MARA, June 15 -- The government has invested over 22bn/ in water projects across Musoma, Mara Region, in a move aimed at fulfilling the ruling CCM partys 2020–2025 election manifesto.

According to Musoma Rural Member of Parliament, Professor Sospeter Muhongo, a total of 22 water projects have been implemented over the past five years at a cost of 22,913,035,078/-.

“These projects have significantly improved water availability, now reaching over 80 per cent coverage,” Prof Muhongo revealed.

Key projects include the Mayani-Tegeruka–Kataryo, which was implemented at a cost of 4.69bn/-, Busambara (2.42bn/-), Buriga–Bujaga (1.81bn/-), Chumwi–Mabui (1.69bn/-), and Wanyere–Chirorwe (1.18bn/-).
