DAR ES SALAAM, Jan. 30 -- GOVERNMENT efforts to enhance the business climate are fuelling investment, encouraging companies to scale up, increase productivity, and contribute more in taxes, boosting economic activity.

The remarks were made by Woolworths Tanzania Country General Manager, Mr Joehans Mgimba, yesterday during the launch of a new store in Kunduchi, Dar es Salaam.

He said that a supportive business environment has allowed the company to expand operations and remit more than 18bn/- in taxes over the past five years, underscoring the link between investor confidence and government revenue generation.
