Dar es Salaam, April 18 -- DODOMA: DEPUTY Minister of State in the Presidents Office (Regional Administration and Local Government -PO-RALG), Dr Festo Dugange said yesterday that the government has employed a total of 34,720 health professionals, purposely to improve health service delivery in the country.

The deputy minister said the government has continued to allocate budgets and recruit health professionals in various cadres across the country to ensue citizens get access to services they deserve.

He said between the financial years 2020/21 and 2024/25, a total of 34,720 health professionals have been employed.

According to Dr Dugange, the number include 1,851 doctors, 10,213 nurses and 22,656 from other health cadres.
