Dar es Salaam, Aug. 7 -- DIRECTOR General of the National Irrigation Commission (NIRC), Mr Raymond Mndolwa, has said the government has made deliberate decisions to invest heavily in irrigation farming to boost the implementation of the National Development Vision 2050.
Speaking at the ongoing Farmers Exhibition (NaneNane) at Nzuguni grounds in Dodoma during a special forum for agricultural stakeholders implementing the Vision 2050 agenda, Mr Mndolwa said irrigation is crucial for transforming the agricultural sector from rain-fed dependency to reliable, climate-resilient farming.
