Dar es Salaam, April 25 -- DODOMA: PRIME Minister Kassim Majaliwa has assured the National Assembly that the government has put in place strategic plans to ensure river basins contribute positively to key productive sectors such as energy, agriculture and livestock.
He said the government has established basin authorities to monitor water flow and management in the areas.
“We have established river basin authorities to monitor water flow in these areas, and to take prompt action if any section poses a threat,” said the Prime Minister yesterday while responding to a question from Kyela MP, Ally Jumbe (CCM) during a parliamentary Question and Answer session to him.
