Dar es Salaam, Feb. 11 -- DODOMA: THE government has stated that it has started subsidising the prices of Liquefied Petroleum Gas (LPG) cylinders purchased by end users in the country.
Deputy Minister for Energy Judith Kapinga spoke of the government resolve to ensure the larger Tanzanian population transition to clean cooking energy in Parliament yesterday.
The government continues to implement the National Clean Cooking Strategy 2024 – 2034 through which it subsidises the gas cylinders by between 20 and 50 per cent of the price of each Liquefied Petroleum Gas cylinder.
