Dar es Salaam, April 29 -- DODOMA: THE government has formalised at least 50 previously informal sea and lake ports across the nation over the past four years under the leadership of President Samia Suluhu Hassan to enhance trade and safety along its waterways.

Deputy Minister for Works, Mr David Kihenzile, made the revelation while responding to a question from Muleba North MP Charles Mwijage (CCM), who sought to understand the governments plans to develop the Kyamkwikwi port in Muleba District, Kagera Region and construct a connecting road.
