KIBAHA, Oct. 27 -- THE government has equipped the Fire and Rescue Force (FRF) in the Coast Region with 12 firefighting vehicles and one rescue boat, all valued at 7.9bn/-.

The move is part of the governments continued efforts to strengthen the working tools of defence and security organs across the country, with the aim of enhancing the safety and security of people and their property.

Speaking during the handover ceremony held on Friday in Kibaha Municipal, Regional Commissioner Mr Abubakar Kunenge said the new equipment will significantly improve the departments efficiency, especially in responding to disasters.
