Dar es Salaam, Feb. 8 -- DODOMA: THE Ministry of Health has dismissed reports circulating on social media about a shortage of antiretroviral (ARV) drugs, leading some to request extra supplies for stockpiling.

In a statement issued on Saturday, by the ministrys Head of Government Communications Ms Roida Andusamile assured the public that ARV drugs remain available and free of charge.

The ministry warned that the misinformation had caused unnecessary panic among users,

“These reports are misleading and have created fear among the public, with some patients now seeking long-term supplies for storage, which is not necessary,” the statement read.
