MOROGORO, Dec. 7 -- THE government, through the Prime Ministers Office, Regional Administration and Local Government (RALG) has disbursed 8.5bn/- to 1,599 groups of persons with disabilities as part of economic empowerment initiatives for the 2024/2025 financial year.

Speaking during the national celebrations of the International Day of Persons with Disabilities held at the Islamic University of Morogoro recently, RALG representative Ms Zainabu Kitembe highlighted the ministrys role in coordinating services for persons with disabilities across regions and local councils.

During the event, Morogoro Regional Commissioner Mr Adam Malima represented the Prime Minister Dr Mwigulu Nchemba.
